Selection Timeline Update: Cohort Eight
The Doris Duke Fellowships team has been hard at work reviewing all applications and will be reaching out with updates soon! Take a look at our new application timeline visual to see where we are in the selection process. For any questions, please email ddfellowships@chapinhall.org.
Mid-Year Meeting Reminder
We are excited to head to The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City for our Mid-Year Meeting on April 11 through April 13! If you are a graduated fellow, we will cover the cost of your hotel room on the evenings of April 11 and 12. Please email Sarah at swagener@chapinhall.org by Thursday, February 15 to reserve your room!
Current fellows are required to attend the meeting. The cost of your hotel rooms will be covered on April 11 and 12, as well. If you have any questions about booking flights or meeting logistics, please email Sarah at swagener@chapinhall.org. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting!
Writer's Retreat for Doris Duke Fellows
Are you a current or graduated fellow who is looking to do some writing in a supportive community environment? Join your community of Doris Duke fellows immediately after the Mid-Year Meeting for a productive writer’s retreat!
All current and past fellows are invited! The cost will be dependent on how many fellows participate. If you have any questions or would like to RSVP, please email one of the organizers by January 31, 2018: Lisa Schelbe (Lschelbe@fsu.edu), Megan Hayes Piel (megan.piel@wayne.edu), Abby Ross(aross28@fordham.edu), and Kaela Byers (kbyers@chapinhall.org). As Lisa Schelbe, Cohort One fellow, said, “I personally am excited to take the energy from the mid-year meeting and channel it directly into my writing.”
Research Review with Bart Kilka
Each month Bart Klika, Associate Professor, University of Washington and Cohort One fellow, will do a rundown of recently released research in his monthly "Research Review." This month he explored Infant Safe Sleep. Check out the video below!
